All Lives Will Not Matter Until Black Lives Matter
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:31-46
Haven’t posted a lot recently because honestly I’m trying to process blackness and christianity in a so-called christian nation.
At this point, if this is what Christiniaty looks like…its not hard to see why gaining new members is difficult.
Another day, another dead black body by the hands of hate.
And we will go through the routine in our churches and clap our hands, and sing our songs, and collect tithes and offerings and pretend we don’t watch the news or see the headlines because – you know- what’s another dead black body?
The thing is though – if the “least of these,” who have done nothing to you are being treated like this, then who exactly is safe in this so-called Christian nation?
It’s easy to be filled with hate, as we can see. I literally have to choose love everyday I wake up now because
God is love.
